Here's a quick look at the 6 body painting festivals, where they happen and what you can expect to find it:

1. The World Council of Painting Festival

This festival includes some of the most impressive paintings professional body to be seen in the world today. A three-day program includes exhibitions of dance, music and fireworks as well as many contests. Many of the paintings body here must fall into the category of 'art' with some of the dancers body paintings simply defies belief. A great event and definitely worth spending a vacation.

3. The International Body Painting Festival

This festival takes place in Mainz, a city with over two thousand years of history. On the banks of the Rhine, has strong Celtic roots and may have been founded by the Romans in 13 BC. One can imagine that body painting has a long history here, if you remember the Celtic tradition of painting their bodies before going into battle. Once again, the talent and the variety is impressive in this international festival.

4. Welsh International Body Painting Festival
This festival is a little younger and settled within the first 3, but has some artwork impressive considering that just started. Also the atmosphere is more "fun" orinted less 'high art' and family involvement is strongly encouraged. A good festival to consider if you want to make a family outing to see an amazing job in the process.

Artistic Range: Alto, and impressive for a smaller event, not so subtle and creative as some of the other
Family Friendliness: Very good, in fact, encourage families and camping, with an atmosphere of 'all ages and events designed for the younger participants

5. The UK Body Painting Festival

This festival features some of the less impressive - even more fun - body painting, although I must say that is not presented as an issue of congestion "high art", but rather a departure from the circus or county fair for all types family. Fun, relaxed and self-conscious of the UN, allows a bit of body art of "fun" most surprising and entirely to be seen. If you're not a supermodel and I would like to get your body painted without having to worry about snide remarks, this could be a good option for you.

6. The U.S. Bodypainting Festival (Or New Mexico Body Painting Festival / US Bodypainting Competition)

There is no doubt impressive body painting to be seen at this festival, and a lot of creative innovation designs and unusual hair you will not see anywhere else. An example that comes to mind is a model dressed in racecar theme with red hair, white and blue spray behind it, as if flying in the wind. Also, if you are in the U.S. This festival, obviously, does not require a ticket. However, this is not a family outing as it explicitly prohibits anyone under 18.
